For pre-wired RVs, the camera typically draws power when the vehicle's lights are turned on.

This is because newer Chevrolet/GMC models use a PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) power signal transmission, and using the adapter or filter ensures a stable connection and proper functionality.

Wireless Transmission with Wired Power

The BW7 system refers to "wireless" because it transmits the video signal from the camera to the monitor without physical cables. The camera still requires power, which is ensured by wired power connections, crucial for proper functionality. The system can be used as a back-up camera (connected to the reverse lights) or an observation system (connected to the running lights). Make sure the connected lights are on when testing the cameras to avoid signal loss issues.
